Pearls

Poem By Laila Ali Haid

The sea extended into my dreams

Shores kept wild with breathing patterns

Sincere lies in the tides of the nights

Pearls unkept from lives in distortion

The life losses in me, woe betide the sea

Boats tracking the hardships of the waters

Traces of a love in a swimming noon

Likeness to vast deaths of good people

The cold sheath unfurled by a dive into oblivion

The key lies within the sea bed and fetched corals sink.
