Retain

Retain the contorted

Over-gloss and plateau

To sink the rosaries

Gum to the courts

Hell in a lay

Compute hatred

Indifferent to say.

Buy A Government

Buy a government,

Hope for mercy and

Glamour on the canvass

Daybreak in rubies and the needle

On the hopes of the people

Is gliding on changes

and rubrics on television.

Thoughts on memorizing Qur'an

Is it okay to decide you want to memorize Qur'an, with little notice and a blustering heart? Without anticipation?

What is the etiquette for Qur'an memorization - when the day comes and you've figured its hypocritical for knowing only a few chapters ...

when you realize the dynamic between your age versus time lost since childhood madrassah  ... how do you prepare and initiate the journey towards finishing the Qur'an?

Yesterday was that day for me, it was the start of my memorization journey.

I have/am fluctuating between two different states. The first one - I can do it, its the right time, I feel mentally ready

The second state - I am endlessly oscillating between doubt, self-hype, shortsightedness and intuition.

Recalling Ascension

Blooms of catcheons

The bow and the court

The cradle foregone

The sitting hurl

Buraq steeped in hierarchies

Forgotten sounds

A Prophet reborn

Likeness to intransigence

Mother and father

In an empty call.

Cries in the night.

Renowned

The colour of crooked

Particles

And right lines.

~

In deserted societies

Conflated righteousness

To happy fouls

Marked to the bird

A heart welling

The lachrymose

As standardization...

Roses and power

The kindness in marks

Of plentiful spaces

The Lord grants you alms

The stitch on the Imamate

His leg so motioning

Graces and plants

To the eve for

the swelling

of plans

A Heartache

of princely mates

A capitalism afloat.

Logic and Time

The creak of lauded

Sounds and Christ

Himself frames

Innocence to a parenthesis

Of gilded ages

Woe to epochs

Hate in fortitude

I love the origins.

~

In Muhammad,

we reside.

In the ascetism of

his fountain of pain,

the lamp light

The hope of transmitted

meanings

The fruit slice

On a communal lap.
