Midnight

Poem By Laila Ali Haid

Time winds down

The surrender is now

It is in the triumph

The lines and stars of the day

Like when stars appear in the daylight sky

When midnight fell

God spoke

The ancients are not so ashen in books

They were once too bright

Sparkling is the midnight

The revolution is sore

Could love seize us?
